Vergangene Nacht fanden in Newark/New Jersey die MTV Video Music Awards statt.
Stars der Musikbranche wie Cardi B, die Jonas Brothers oder J. Balvin flanierten über den roten Teppich und nahmen im besten Fall auch einen Award mit nach Hause. Eine ganz besondere Auszeichnung gab es für Rap-Legende Missy Elliot: sie wurde mit dem "Video Vanguard Award" für ihr Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet.
